I'm excited to announce the grand-opening of my remodeled website and newly design blog!
I've had a personal website for some time using it as a portfolio and online resume of sorts. One of my life-long goals was to start an online business of my own and now that dream has come true.
My goal with this website is to have one place where my portfolio, services, and shop can all function as one, supporting each other to showcase my skills and abilities to those who are looking to hire me for my calligraphy, marketing or design services.
The goal of my blog is to showcase a behind-the-scenes look at my artistic progress and as a record of my growth in the field. I hope that it will inspire other artist and my peers to experiment with their artistic processes or dive into a new artistic pursuit.

As an artist and designer my biggest challenge has always been putting my own artistic signature in my work; creating a body or collection that I feel is reflective of who I am and what defines me. My love of classical art and modern design counteract each other often leaving me with work that feels misguided or theme-less. My goal over the next few years is to hone and train myself into creating art that viewers can say, “I bet that’s a Cassie Thomas piece.” without looking at the by line.
For those of you who are also artist I’m sure you are familiar with this sensation and I encourage you to join me in my studies and share your experiences. For no matter how much we succeed or fail Georgia O’Keeffe said it best, “Making your unknown known is the important thing.”
